Bonnie K. Goodman, BA, MLIS is a journalist, librarian, editor, & historian. She is the editor of History Musings… History, News & Political Buzz, focusing on covering the Obama Presidency, the 113th Congress, and history news. She has previously covered the 2004 and 2008 Presidential campaigns & 2010 midterm elections for HNN, and the 2012 Presidential Campaign on History Musings.   Ms. Goodman has also contributed to a number of reference publications; including the overviews, and chronologies for History of American Presidential Elections, 1789-2008, 4th edition, edited by Gil Troy, Fred L. Israel, and Arthur Meier Schlesinger, Facts on File, Inc. 2011, and the bibliographies for The Encyclopedia of the Cold War: a Political, Social, and Military History, edited by Spencer Tucker, ABC-CLIO, 2007, and The Home Front Encyclopedia: United States, Britain, And Canada in World Wars I And II, edited by James D. Ciment & Thaddeus Russell, ABC-CLIO, 2006.   Ms. Goodman was also the former Editor/Features Editor for the History News Network (HNN), and had been working for HNN from 2004-2010. She contributed over 25 other articles, interviews and features; including coverage of the 2010 Midterm elections, and 2008 and 2004 Presidential campaigns & elections. She was the editor of some of the online magazine’s popular features, “History Buzz,” “Political Highlights,” “Top Young Historians,” “History Doyens,” “On this Day in History.”   Ms. Goodman has a BA in History & Art History from McGill University. She focused on Modern Political History for her History degree, predominately, the Nixon & Reagan Presidencies. For her Art History major she focused on European Art & Architecture, and wrote her senior thesis on English Gothic Architecture and Canterbury Cathedral.    Ms. Goodman also has a Masters in Library and Information Studies from McGill University, and has done graduate work in Jewish history at Concordia University as part of the MA in Judaic Studies degree program, where her thesis was to focus on Jews in the South during the Civil War. Her major areas of interest are American Jewish History, Southern Jewish History, modern American political history, and presidential history.   Ms. Goodman is an artist since 13, painting in acrylics, oils and watercolors. She has a Diploma in Collegial Studies (DCS, DEC) from Vanier College in Communications: Art, Media, Theater specializing in the Fine Arts.
